Good luck trying to keep up with Evan Krauss ’16. Aside from managing Butler’s Live Mascot Program and serving as Mascot Handler to the adorable Butler Blue IV, Krauss also enjoys running on trails around campus, working out at the on-campus Health and Recreation Complex, hitting up Orange Theory classes, training for half marathons, refining his photography skills, and cooking.

Staying busy keeps each day interesting for Krauss, and living on campus (along with his wife, Kennedy, and Blue, of course) means no two days are exactly the same. “I’m energized when I’m going from one task or project to another,” he says. “And training and working with Blue every day means I’m always entertained.”

This fast pace is nothing new to Krauss. As a student, her served as part of the game day TV crew for both the Indianapolis Indians Minor League Baseball team and Butler’s Women’s Basketball team. He was also active in Greek Life, interned with the Butler Marketing and Communications division, and volunteered alongside Trip, Butler’s previous live mascot.
