How would you describe what you do at Butler?
My main role at Butler is to work with students to ensure their success in completing their major program. Specifically, this is accomplished by teaching introductory and upper-level courses in Organic Chemistry, mentoring students in undergraduate research projects, and serving as an academic advisor to help with their journey to graduation.

What is the best part of your job?
I love working with students and watching them develop self-confidence and proficiency in their chosen field of study. Our students go on to do amazing things; and I find it professionally rewarding to have played a small part in aiding them along the path to achieving those successes.

Share one thing that you are most proud of that you have accomplished here?
I am very proud of all my former students, as they are excelling in their professional careers as doctors, pharmacists, scientists, professors, lawyers, etc. I am proud that I had the opportunity to assist in their growth along these paths to success.

What inspires you the most about working at Butler?
The students at Butler are incredibly bright and hard-working. Watching the students pursue their goals with such dedication and perseverance makes me proud of them and inspires me to do the very best job that I can to help assist them along the way.

What is the best advice you can give someone who wants to work at Butler?
Butler has been a very good home for me over the past 22+ years. The people who work here and the students that you have the pleasure to interact with make Butler a great place to work.
