Years at Butler: A little over one year
How would you describe what you do at Butler?
I help first-year students with their transition to Butler.
What is the best part of your job?
The best part of my job is collaborating with many different people on campus to create effective support systems for students. Tied for first best part are the students. They are a blast to work with!
Share one thing that you are most proud of that you have accomplished here?
I’m really proud of the growing culture to support first-year students and the growing collaborative spirit across divisions to ensure students have the best experience. It’s a team effort but I feel a sense of ownership in helping that culture grow.
What inspires you the most about working at Butler?
I am inspired knowing that our students have a true desire to impact their individual communities. They are smart, funny, curious, passionate, and kind. It makes working here easy with students who are equally as invested.
What is the best advice you can give someone who wants to work at Butler?
It’s easy to be intimidated by all the incredible faculty and accomplished staff. But if you’re willing to invite people into what you’re doing, build relationships, and keep an open mind, you’ll find that everyone is willing to cheer you on.
