The annual Bulldog Crawl event hosted by the Central Indiana Alumni Community returns to campus on Friday, June 27, featuring many returning favorite vendors along with new vendor HotBox Pizza, which was founded in 2004 by Butler graduate Gabe Connell MBA ՚01. Since its inception in 2016, the Bulldog Crawl event has become a favorite summer tradition offering Butler alumni and friends a chance to visit campus, tour new or recently updated spaces, and enjoy food and beverages from alumni-owned or operated business partners.
“As a foodie and proud alumna, I absolutely LOVE participating in the Bulldog Crawl! It is such an exciting experience because attendees are able to sample food and beverages provided by Butler-owned businesses. This annual event allows us to connect and show our support of each restaurant. You also get a chance to see what’s new on campus,” Natalie Evans ՚11, Bulldog Crawl Co-chair, said.

Featured stops for this year’s Crawl include the Sellick Bowl, the Health and Recreation Complex (HRC), Clowes Memorial Hall, and Fairview House. Clowes Memorial Hall is scheduled to close for the summer shortly after the Crawl to undergo significant renovations thanks to a grant from the Allen White Clowes Charitable Foundation, so the Crawl provides a chance for guests to see renderings of the planned updates just before renovations get underway.
At the Sellick Bowl, guests will have the chance to get out on the Bulldogs’ home field and kick soccer balls with fellow attendees. In the HRC, students will be offering guests tours of the facility and highlighting current student wellness initiatives. And finally, at Fairview House, attendees will have the opportunity to tour the residential space to get a glimpse of on-campus living for current Bulldogs.
Along with offering attendees the opportunity to visit campus, the Bulldog Crawl also highlights the many unique ways Butler prepares graduates to find success in their chosen fields.
“Butler’s MBA program didn’t just equip me with the skills to excel in business—it taught me the power of leadership, ethical decision-making, and collaboration. I thoroughly enjoyed my time in the classroom and continue to be impressed with the many Butler students that we have the opportunity to interact with at HotBox Pizza,” Connell said.
Registration for this year’s event is now open here and includes food, beverages, and parking. Space is limited, and last year’s event sold out. Attendees are encouraged to register by June 1 to secure their spot and receive $5 off registration.
