On Thursday, October 9, 2025, Butler University honored 59 donors whose lifetime giving to the University has reached $100,000 or more. The group was newly inducted into the Carillon Society, Butler’s premiere cumulative giving society. The outdoor ceremony also honored donors whose lifetime giving to the University has reached $1 million or more. These individuals and families will be permanently recognized with a plaque on Cornerstone Plaza. New Cornerstone Plaza honorees included Marianne Glick ʼ73, MS ʼ74 and Mike Woods, and Jay Love ʼ76 and Christie (Kile) Love ʼ79.

The newest class of Carillon Society inductees has collectively contributed more than $4.8 million to the University across a wide variety of programs and initiatives, including causes such as Butler Athletics, student scholarships, faculty support, and Founder’s College.

Butler President Jim Danko shared words of gratitude with the group for their part in advancing Butler’s mission through the previous Butler Beyond strategy, and expressed optimism about what the Butler community will achieve together through the new Boldly Butler strategy and campaign, which was announced in Shelton Auditorium on September 26

In remarks given by Jonathan Purvis, Vice President for Advancement and Marketing, honoring the new inductees, Marianne Glick and Mike Woods were recognized for their visionary investment in Founder’s College at Butler University.

“In 2024, Marianne and Mike made an incredibly generous leadership gift to jumpstart Founder’s College, which inspired many others to follow in their footsteps in investing in this vision. Marianne and Mike, thank you for your selfless leadership and generosity, and for believing in the limitless potential of Founder’s College students,” Purvis said.

Purvis also noted the significance of the Loves’ investment in the Jay and Christie Kile Love University House, which is expected to open in 2026 as a future residence for Butler University presidents and a gathering space for fundraising and other community events.

“In 2022, Jay and Christie made a significant philanthropic commitment to fund the construction of the Jay and Christie Kile Love University House, which is currently nearing completion at the corner of Sunset Avenue and Blue Ridge Road. Their hope for this space is that it will be the birthplace of many thousands of relationships and connections that will bring people together in advancing Butler’s mission,” Purvis said.
