What are you doing post-graduation?
I’m going to the University of North Carolina to study school counseling.

How did Butler support you in pursuing graduate school?
My professors and classes helped me realize that this was the role I wanted to have in the education system rather than being a classroom teacher. The Career and Professional Success  office also helped me by looking over my resume and my grad school applications.

How did Butler prepare you for this next chapter in your life?
The constant support from my professors in the College of Education has helped me become more confident and feel more capable and ready to start this next chapter of grad school.

What are your long-term career goals?
My goal is to be a school counselor, either in a high school or elementary school setting.

What are you going to miss most about your time at Butler?
Being close to all the friends I made on campus.

What advice would you give a first-year student as you reflect on your time at Butler?
Get involved on campus; it’s a great way to meet people.
