Where are you interning and what are your day-to-day responsibilities?
I am interning with TechPoint, a non-profit focused on growing Indiana’s tech economy. My primary tasks are to analyze program participation data to assist with decision-making. I also create social media content for the organization.

How does this internship relate to your major?
This internship is a perfect blend of my two majors. I have the opportunity to be creative by designing social media content while also utilizing my analytical skills.

What do you like most about your internship?
What I like most about my internship is the people I work with. TechPoint is a small organization, so I have become really close with my coworkers. They’re awesome people to work with.

What project are you particularly proud of?
I’ve been designing “evergreen” PowerPoint, Word, and Canva templates. This has allowed me to be creative and contribute meaningfully, as these templates will likely be used long after my internship ends. I also had the opportunity to do a lunch-and-learn session on Canva for the entire organization, which was super fun and important to my coworkers.

What are your career goals and how is this internship preparing you?
Eventually, I want to work in analytics. This internship has confirmed I am on the right path as I have continued developing my analytical skills in a supportive environment.

What advice would you give another student who may be looking for an internship? 
I would advise students to prioritize finding an internship that they can succeed in and that has an office culture that aligns with their values.
