Learn more about Lilly Scholar and Butler Bulldog, Edyn Curry. She is one of nearly 100 Lilly Endowment Community Scholarship recipients at Butler University.

What made you pick Butler University?
I chose Butler because it has a big university feel while being a smaller campus. I love the class sizes, the interpersonal relationships I can have with professors, and all of the student life that Butler has to offer. Once I found out I was a Lilly Scholar, that completely solidified my choice.

What does being selected as a Lilly Scholar mean to you?
It means everything to me! I am thankful to be a Lilly Scholar, because of the opportunities it has given me to further my education. Without this scholarship, my college experience would be significantly different. I am thankful for the path it has given me, and cannot wait to experience more of the opportunities to come.

What’s one of the best parts about being a student at Butler?
Butler’s student life is so fun and there are so many opportunities to get involved. I have met many of my friends through clubs, events, and other activities. I even get to study abroad for a week this March!

What’s your favorite spot on campus?
It’s a tie between the Efroymson Diversity Center or the Science Library. Both are great places to study and have some alone time, when needed.

What do you want to do upon graduation?
I hope to continue my education in graduate school, specifically either medical school or PA school.

What advice would you give to a prospective student considering Butler?
Take in everything Butler has to offer! Choosing a college is not an easy feat, but with a school like Butler, making the choice feels so easy. Don’t be afraid to ask every question about college life, and jump into all of the opportunities Butler has to offer. It will be one of the greatest decisions you will make.
