When I came to Butler, I was most surprised to find that the academics really are personal here and your professors and advisors truly care about your well-being and success. The small class sizes make it much easier to learn and ask questions—and all my professors knew my name within the first week.

As a Pre-Pharmacy major, I spend a lot of time in class and studying. So far, my favorite course has been Advanced General Chemistry with Dr. Davis. Chemistry has always been one of my favorite subjects, but this class takes it to a new level, teaching us how and why chemistry works. We also have amazing labs and facilities, which help to connect the material we are learning in lecture to real, hands-on experiments to further our understanding.

There’s also so much to do outside of going to classes and studying. I usually start my day with a run or a walk on the Central Canal Towpath. It’s such a peaceful spot, and I love that it’s so accessible to us on campus. After my classes, I grab my favorite drink from the on-campus Starbucks, and then take my hammock to the South Mall with friends to relax outside.
