What made you decide on Butler during your college search?
While Butler’s football program initially drew my attention, further research revealed the significant impact of the Lacy School of Business both within the Indianapolis community and beyond. Its strong reputation, real-world engagement, and emphasis on applied learning ultimately solidified my decision.

What’s an experience you’ve had at Butler that you don’t think you’d find anywhere else?
The close-knit community I found within my Butler family, combined with the strong networking connections I’ve developed in the Indianapolis community, has been especially meaningful to my college experience.

What is your favorite part of being a student in the Lacy School of Business?
My favorite aspect of being a student in the Lacy School of Business is how the faculty draw from their own successful professional and entrepreneurial experiences and thoughtfully integrate those real-world insights into their teaching.

What project, class, or experience are you most proud of?
The Real Business Experience course was one of the most engaging and rewarding experiences I have had in a classroom. Creating, launching, and successfully operating our own business taught me the challenges and complexities of entrepreneurship, while developing a deeper understanding of consumer preferences shaped by geographic and socioeconomic factors.

How has Butler and/or LSB helped prepare you for your future career or next steps?
The Lacy School of Business has provided me with both the opportunity and confidence to pursue my own business ventures. It has also offered valuable resources and mentorship to help clarify my goals after graduation. Through strong relationships with professors and access to alumni networks, I’ve built meaningful connections and developed a clearer sense of direction within my chosen field.

What advice would you give to someone who is thinking of studying a major in LSB?
When I first began studying in the Lacy School of Business, I was unsure of my post-graduation path. However, while business is a broad and multifaceted field, the Lacy School of Business provides every student with the resources, preparation, and support necessary to excel after graduation.
