What were you involved in during high school?
During high school, I participated in theater, the Family and Community Career Leaders of America, JV tennis, Youth and Government, book club, and the Advisory and Equity Board. Theater has always been one of my greatest passions; I have acted in 12 shows and directed two of my own during high school. I also ran my own start-up company, which made healthy desserts that were sold at school events.

How did you first hear about Butler?
I first heard about Butler from my mom’s friend—she has a daughter who attended Butler. She landed a great internship, which really intrigued me. Butler was the first school I’d heard of that encourages students to start networking and to gain real-world experiences before graduation.

Why did you choose Butler?
I chose Butler because the community feels close-knit. Everyone I met was open and eager to make friends, and the staff members I spoke with were kind and passionate about their subjects. Every person I encountered on campus was genuinely friendly, and I knew this was the type of community I wanted to spend the next four years with. The supportive atmosphere made me feel welcomed and at home right away.

What do you hope to get involved with on campus?
On campus, I really hope to get involved in Butler’s Theatre program, Freshly Brewed A Capella, LGBTQIA+ Alliance, Bookish Bulldogs, and recreational tennis. I also hope to participate in sorority recruitment!

What are you looking forward to most while being a student at Butler?
I am really looking forward to meeting more wonderful people at Butler! The community seems amazing, and I cannot wait to be a part of it. I especially can’t wait to meet the dog himself: Blue!
