What were you involved in during high school, and what did those experiences mean to you?
I was a part of the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme at my high school, which means I took all advanced classes that focused on shifting perspectives, collaborating with others, and thinking critically. I formed close friendships through the program and discovered how I learn best.
What inspired you to study engineering? Why did you choose Butler’s Engineering program specifically?
My dad is an engineer, and I was always interested in what he was doing at work. I was immediately interested in Butler when I heard the University has connections with the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
What excites you most about studying engineering at Butler?
I love that the student-to-faculty ratio is smaller than at other schools because I like being able to connect with my classmates. I am also excited for the internship opportunities Butler offers.
What are you most excited to get involved with on campus?
In high school, I was in the choir program, so I’m hoping to join an a cappella group to continue that passion. I’m also thinking about joining fraternity and sorority life. And I grew up going to Butler basketball games, so I am so excited to experience them as a student!
What advice would you give to other students starting their college search?
Always keep an open mind and don’t be afraid to go somewhere unfamiliar. Going to college itself is a huge accomplishment, so focus on what fits your specific wants and needs.
