As Assistant Director of Annual Giving and Butler Ballet graduate, Hope Hagen has been inspired to pay it forward. In her role at Butler, she raises money for student scholarships to make current and future Bulldog’s dreams come true.

Over the past three years, Britany Goodpaster has worked as a Sales Operation Manager in the Information Technology department. Working with Butler Ventures’s startup company, AvantBlue, she is proud to be at the forefront of the company, advancing technology in education through Indiana.

Shari Missman Miller works at Butler as an HR Business Partner. She serves six different areas across the University and enjoys exploring campus to visit her clients.

Working in the Office of Budgets and Grants, Kathy Hankins oversees the annual University budgeting process. She feels inspired to make a difference, helping others become more financially aware.

Director of First-Year Experience, Nii Kpakpo Abraham, helps first-year students transition to Butler. He is proud of the growing collaborative spirit across campus to ensure students have the best experience.

As the Administrative and Event Planning Specialist for the College of Education (COE), Alexis Methner works with the Dean, students, faculty, and staff, managing and scheduling events. Read Alexis’s story to learn more about her experience.

Anne Wilson, Professor of Chemistry and Biochemistry, has worked at Butler for 27 years. She is most proud of her work helping students find pathways to success in the classroom, in laboratories, during research projects, and presentations.

Bobbie Gibson, Associate Director of International Student Services and Incoming Exchange, has worked at Butler for 25 years. Meeting students from across the world, she helps ease their transition to life in the United States and on campus.

Michelle Gruber says the best part of her job is working with her colleagues in the Office of Registration and Records. As an Associate Registrar, she enjoys working with database systems and doing reports for other various departments.

As Associate Athletics Director of Academics, Sonya Hopkins oversees academic services for student-athletes. She says the best part of her job is experiencing her student’s academic success and attending their graduation ceremonies.

Teaching in the Jordan College of the Arts (JCA), Derek Reid says the best part of his job is interacting with students daily. He is proud of his work fostering a diverse and inclusive college community.

As Assistant Project Manager in the Office of Strategy and Innovation, Carmela Williams must think outside the box to ensure Butler’s systems are the best they can be. She believes Butler is a great place to work because of its true community.
