The 2024 Black History Month theme is “African American and the Arts.” Jordan College of the Arts’ Associate Professor of Dance, Ramon Flowers, is most proud of the Social Justice and Diversity (SJD) course he developed. He encourages students to use their voices and become the change they’d like to see.

As the Director of the Center for Faith and Vocation, Daniel Meyers is proud of his work establishing the CFV Interfaith Council. He is constantly inspired by Butler students’ commitment to learning, growing, and understanding others.

Working in the Office of Advancement, Gina Donahue enjoys the challenge of working with a diverse group of people. As the department’s liaison, she works closely with the President’s office, Athletics, and Human Resources.

As Executive Director of the Student Success Center, Robbie Lopez-Shue is proud of the environment and staff he has created and fostered. He is honored to work with Butler’s tight-knit community.

As a Butler University employee, Emma Winchell enjoys bonding with students as a Financial Aid Counselor. She is proud to help ease the stress of students and their families as they navigate funding their college education.

As a professor of Organic Chemistry, John Esteb has called Butler home for the past 22 years. His bright, hard-working students inspire him as he helps them pursue their goals.
