Assistant Professor Karina Hamamouche says being a Faculty-In-Residence (FIR) has allowed her to invest in campus life fully. As a FIR, she encourages community connections and is a resource, making the transition to college more manageable.

Professor Catherine Hagerman Pangan remembers receiving the news that she was selected to be a Faculty-in-Residence (FIR). She is grateful to be a part of her student’s growth inside and outside the classroom.

Faculty-In-Residence (FIR) are full-time Butler faculty members who live on campus. Assistant Professor Oscar Beltran Perez says the program is another way Butler makes campus feel like home.
