Wrapping his debut season as play-by-play announcer for the Atlanta Braves, Brandon Gaudin ‘06, reflects on his time as a Bulldog. Gaudin says his growth and transformation as a student helped him secure this dream job.

2021 alumna Haley Phemister graduated from a Butler student to staff. Now an Event Coordinator for the Butler Arts and Events Center, she works on small to large-scale University events, such as Homecoming.

2023 alumna Emily MacDonald was already observing and planning lessons during her first semester in the College of Education. At Butler, she learned the importance of leaning on her colleagues, mentors, and professors.

2023 alumna Madison Pines says the College of Education taught her the importance of flexibility in the classroom. Now an International English Teacher in Israel, she applies what she learned at Butler to adjust to her students’ needs.

2017 alumnus Matthew Griffin says his Butler education gave him the skills to dance at a professional level plus helped him develop the time management and interpersonal skills needed to work in a ballet company.

This 2014 alumna credits her exposure to full- and small-scale dance productions, plus opportunities to network, with her success as a freelancer and costume designer and builder in New York City.
